This is Bessie, our Coriente cow. We bought her to use for roping practice and tracking our young horses. We also plan on getting a few calves out of her as well. She is an 05 model and has a beautiful registered sire...he is for sale and can be seen on the Other Stuff for Sale page.
On March 10, 2008, Bessie surprised us with a baby calf!! I guess when the neighbor's herd got in our field, their Angus bull got to know Bessie! She had a gorgeous little heifer calf. We are so proud of Bessie's first calf! We are planning to rebreed Bessie (on purpose this time!) for another calf next spring. Bessie is currently being bred to a full-blooded Jersey bull.
